Selling Stuff

We'd all like to throw in the day job and focus on the art. I'm interesting in selling prints. Mainly to get large prints for myself, however I dream of that life of living for your art. I'm interested in ways people have profitted. Is a DA print account a good way to go? They'll do the prints but no option to selling the image for things like book printing, magazines, etc. Cafe Press? Self selling? Would anyone buy anything? Does anyone buy anything?
